Over 400 000 people visited Berlin in February!In February Berlin was visited by approximately 417 000 people, who booked over 800 000 beds what is 9% more comparing with February 2005. Over 30% of the guests came from the foreign countries, what is 22% increase. The guests stayed in Berlin average 2 days informs Statistischen Landesamtes. 26th May – opening of new “Berliner Hauptbanhof”After 8 years build the station will be finally opened. The new railway station was built on the site of Lehrter station. The project included also the upgrade of five other stations in Berlin area and new north-south connection with 3.5 kilometers tunnel under Tiergarten. Official opening will take place on 26th May. Regular train connection will be run on 28th May. The investment will reduce journey time through Berlin especially from the direction Leipzig and Dresden.
