The Kensington Palace - cultural centre worth visiting

One of the most impressive and largest museums in London is the Kensington Palace. Actually, parts of it are kept as private residence of the Royal family (for the last 300 years has been so). The good news is that big parts of the castle are open to the public - for example the State Apartments and the Royal Ceremonial Dress Collecton.
Until 1st of July 2007 an interesting exhibition of stylish photos of Princess Diana dressed in evening clothing will be on. The photographer is Mario Testino.
"Memories of the Queen in Paris" is another exhibition, which will stay open until March 2007 - the clothes, which the recently crowned queen wore at her trip to France in 1957. By the end of July 2006 you will be able to watch the short film 'Architectural Stories' by Sonoko Obuchi. The castle is open between 10 and 18:00 (up to 17:00 in winter). Individual ticket costs 11,50 pounds, the gate price is also 11,50. Student/senior tickets are available at 9 pounds. If you go with your whole family, you can buy a family ticket of 34 pounds (2 adults, 3 children).
