Saturday night in Warsaw

Warsaw is a busy city. Hard to believe but it is really difficult to get a table in a pub / bar without booking earlier or coming early. I mean the "drinking" places here.

If you want to spend your evening cheap in one of the small venues near the Nowy Swiat Street - forget about coming later than 8pm. Simply, all seats are taken. What is worse, waiting a quarter for a free table is not the solution. People won't leave until 11pm when they head towards one of the Warsaw clubs.

Due to lack of success in the smaller places often visited by younger part of population of Wawsaw, you may decide to try a more expensive option usually chose by people in their 30s. This part is easy as most of the places have plenty of space just for you. However, bear in mind that the price for a beer grows to approx. 9-11 PLN (approx. 2,5 EUR) per pint in comparison to 6-7 PLN (approx. 1,5 EUR) in the cheaper places. The advantage of the more pricey solution is that these venues will often provide you with some more consumption possibilities i.e. food.

So you had your first couple of beers of colourful drinks and search for more attractions. Fine. The best choice is the central part of Warsaw. Try the Sienkiewicza street (ul. Sienkiewicza) first. The streets consists of clubs only. I suggest visiting the Organza if you look for a very busy place with some music to dance. The entry is usually free, but there might be a sort of face-control at the gate. Once you're in, just get used to the extreme crowd and high temperature inside. That's gonna last for the whole night.
Need something slower but also busy? You can try the bar next door. Some music from India and relaxing interior shall allow one to rest properly. Eventually, try to discover one of the venues next door.

It is always useful to get in touch with the locals. They are usually well informed about what's up in the city and will guide you to the right place. Poles are very helpful in general and as long as you do not seduce their women, they will be nice and enthusiastic.
