The Exquisite Park Guell

One of the largest urban parks in Barcelona is called Park Guell. Its most excuisite characteristics is the presence of the spirit of Gaudi. The original idea for the magnificent park was to be an English-style garden. But there is nothing, which the genius of Gaudi has touched, which has remained as we expect it to be. The well known curves and mosaic, the characteristic benches makes you feel as if you are in Alice in Wonderland.
The park, which is open between 9 am and 5 pm is 20 hectares big.
You will see two pavillions joined by a wall that distinguished the entrance from Carrer Olot. The hall has the staggering 96 columns, which are under the upper plaza. Within the park there is a church. Almost everywhere you can see the gorgeous mosaics of Gaudi. There is the notable dragon fountain.
The columns in the hall are actually hollow, which is the ingenuine drainage system Gaudi made for the upper square. Among the columns there are several skillfully weaven suns of broken china, tiles and colourful glass.
