Tube station shut after gas leakServices on the Hammersmith and City tube line has been partly suspended due to a gas leak. Hammersmith underground station, which is on the Hammersmith and City line, has been closed since 1540 GMT. The line is shut between Hammersmith and Edgware Road stations. Shepherd's Bush Road has also been closed between Brook Green and Hammersmith Broadway. London Underground (LU) said the leak was near the Hammersmith Palais and an investigation is under way. LU said it hopes to resume services by 2100 GMT after approval from police and the fire brigade.
